In texts Nine and Ten, Krishna said that those who know him to be the Supreme Personality achieve liberation and transcendental love for him. What about those who do not perfectly understand Krishna to be the Supreme - What do they achieve? And what of those who may know Krishna to be God but do not desire transcendental love for Him?
Krishna addresses these questions in the current text: "However they approach me; whatever they approach me for, I reciprocate with them accordingly." If one approaches Krishna for material prosperity, Krishna rewards it. If one approaches for liberation, Krishna rewards that. And to those who approach Krishna in devotion, Krishna awards pure love.
Similarly, if one perfectly knows that Krishna's birth and activities are transcendental, Krishna rewards him by making his birth and activities transcendental. If one thinks Krishna's appearance and personality to be ordinary - Krishna rewards him with an ordinary material birth and personality.
"As they approach me, so I reward."
